Assistant Stores Controller

Your Tasks 

  • Organise and supervise members of the Engineering Stores team, as necessary.
  • Provide out of hours support, as necessary. 
  • Assist the Stock Controller in maintaining agreed levels, advising of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Maintaining inventory records for Goods received, Goods Issued and undertaking regular Stock Checks, following the relevant working procedures.
  • Using SAP system to verify, update, and reconcile inventory information, including data input, to produce reports.
  • Ensuring the control of equipment/parts for repair, ensuring the control and recording of all information for traceability and cost control.
  • Providing all documentation relevant to destination, the preparation of quotations for approval by relevant departments and the control and recording of all information for traceability and cost control.

Our Requirments  

  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reasonable standard of secondary education.
  • Experience working in an Engineering Stores related role. 
  • Good organisation and communication skills. 
  • Able to undertake a comprehensive training programme to be able to run every aspect of the Engineering Stores Department.  
  • Experience of operating a Forklift Truck, however, training will be provided
  • A basic standard of IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Outlook), and may have experience of SAP system.
  • Experience in using SAP systems, preferred. 
  • Good housekeeping skills.
  • An awareness of Health and Safety.
  • Able to work 08:30 - 17:00hrs, Monday to Friday.
