C & I Technical Engineer

Your Tasks 

  • Provide programming and software support to the Production process. 
  • Assist with the installation, commissioning and testing of all equipment. 
  • Provide hands on advice, support and training to the Maintenance and Production departments. 
  • Troubleshoot and fault find in processes with an innovative approach to problem solving.
  • Assist in maintaining high levels of quality, safety and environmental awareness within the department. 
  • Work within the electrical project team and to maximise the electrical and functional knowledge level in each area of the project. 
  • Play an active part in the Electrical Engineering department, assisting the Electrical Engineer in all project works, when required.
  • Assist in the implementation of the planned maintenance programme, whilst monitoring machine performance. 
  • Monitor spares in stock and replace as required. 
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of all new equipment. 
  • Ensure that the operation and related tasks are conducted in a safe working manner and that any incidents/accidents and hazards are duly reported. 
  • Maintain an administrative and orderly system of work for the Electrical department. 
  • Provide out of hours support, if required. 
  • Carry out any specialist projects as required by the Electrical Engineer.

 

Our Requirements 

  • Advanced expertise in S7 Classic (S7-300, S7-400) and TIA (S7-1500) PLC systems.
  • Working knowledge of S5 Siemens PLC is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with Profibus and Profinet in essential.
  • Proficiency in SCADA systems such as InTouch Wonderware and Siemens WinCC.
  • Previous technician experience in a related field.
  • Sound familiarity with manufacturing environments.
  • Intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Well organised and efficient with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
