Your Tasks
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the logistics department and Barony Plant.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute daily logistics operations while developing and implementing long-term logistics strategies aligned with business goals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Lead and manage logistics staff, providing guidance and support.
- Collaborate with the Hexham Plant on Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), production planning, and transport coordination.
- Monitor and analyse logistics performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage the logistics budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and transportation providers.
- Implement and maintain advanced inventory management systems.
- Drive initiatives for automation and process optimisation within the logistics department.
- Oversee contract management related to logistics services.
Our Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with automation in logistics operations.
- Experience in manufacturing logistics.
- Proficiency in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
- Proven experience in logistics management in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing supply chain management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence principles.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficient in logistics software and systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
