Log Yard Supervisor

Your Tasks
- Organise and supervise the, Log Yard and Quality Station resource. To organise and monitor all Waste materials going off site and provide a monthly report of all waste going off site to the Production & Technical Director.
- Monitor incoming wood fibre raw materials at the Barony site in accordance with the Dry Fibre System, and ensure stock rotation on a weekly and monthly basis, and as required. To ensure that wood for production is taken from the correct location.
- Provide the Wood Buying Department with detailed and accurate information as required, with regard to the intake, quality and stock of wood fibre raw materials.
- Ensure that the Log Yard and Quality Station are maintained in a clean, tidy and organised condition, and to maintain an orderly and efficient administrative system.
- Organise induction and safety training for all new starters within the remit of the role. To identify training requirements, attend training courses and meetings as necessary. To maintain the training records for the Log Yard personnel and provide update training on the Dry Fibre System, FSC, operational and safety requirements. To provide FSC update training for Log Yard personnel, in conjunction with the Wood buying Department.
- Assist in the planning, organisation and implementation of special projects as required by the Production & Technical Director. To lead such projects and deliver the results within agreed deadlines.
Our Requirements
- Good standard of secondary education.
- Relevant related work experience, including supervisory experience.
- Intermediate standard of IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience of SAP preferred.
