Your Tasks

 

 

  • Lead the electrical design, installation and commissioning of projects, as agreed with the Project Manager. 
  • Engage in project meetings including kick off, progress, pre-installation, and handover meetings.
  • Design, develop, and maintain, electrical schematics, single line diagrams, control panel designs, machine wiring upgrade / modification and safety circuit design and testing to help achieve optimum plant utilisation and efficiency.
  • Liaise with all Electrical Department members to ensure that all alterations and updates to existing electrical documentation are completed in a timely manner.
  • Creation of Bill of Materials, to include detailed termination schedules and component listings.
  • Support the Electrical Supervisors and Control & Instrument Technical Engineers in commissioning of all modifications and upgrades to ensure all design specification are adhered to and recorded.
  • Liaising with departments to implement changes and upgrades.
  • Assist in the construction and upkeep of Technical Manuals and other associated documentation through written technical reports.
  • Collaborate with supplementary or specialist subcontract resources in support of design activities.
  • Ensure that the operation and related tasks are conducted in a safe working manner and that any incidents / accidents and hazards are duly reported.
  • Maintain professional competence with continuing professional and technical development and attend training courses as necessary.


Our Requirements

 

 

  • HNC/Technician Standard in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • Time served electrician through an approved apprenticeship scheme
  • Previous industrial electrical installation experience (2 years+)
  • Advanced CIEH Health and Safety Certificate
  • 18th Edition wiring Regulations 
  • High Voltage Switching Certificate.
  • Electrical Inspection and testing certification City & Guilds 2392 / 2391
