Stores Assistant

Your Tasks

  • Undertake a comprehensive training programme to be able to run every aspect of the Stores Department.  
  • Maintain inventory records following the relevant working procedure.
  • Use the computerised records system to verify, update and reconcile inventory information.
  • Input data as required with regard to physical inventory count and produce reports. To operate to predetermined standards with regard to perpetual inventory count.
  • Ensure the despatch and control of equipment for repair.
  • Provide all documentation relevant to destination, the preparation of quotations for approval by relevant departments, the control and recording of all information for traceability and cost control.
  • Advise Stock Controller/Buyer of any stock discrepancies.
  • Ensure that the operation and related tasks are conducted in a safe working manner and that any incidents/ accidents and hazards are duly reported.
  • Ensure all safety precautions as detailed in the Health and Safety procedures are taken and that safety equipment is in good order and used at all times.

Our Requirements

  • Forklift Truck License.
  • Reasonable standard of secondary education.
  • Basic standard of IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Products
  • Experience of SAP system desirable
