Your Tasks
- At EGGER, our Mechanical Fitters produce and assemble machine parts, whilst supporting with commissioning, maintenance and installation of machinery across our site.
- As an Apprentice, you will undertake a comprehensive 4 year training programme to learn all the tasks required of a member of our Mechanical Maintenance team.
- You will spend your first year completing off site training (based at SETA in Washington - we provide transport for this) to achieve an apprenticeship standard in Mechanical Engineering, with the following 3 years spent on site supported by day release. During your training you have the opportunity to work towards an HNC qualification.
Our Requirements
- For all our apprenticeships, we are looking for self-motivated learners with excellent interpersonal skills as you will be working with a range of departments. You will also need the following:
- Good standard of secondary education with a minimum of 5 GCSEs grade C / 4 or above, including Maths, English, Science and a GCSE in Technology or Engineering would also be advantageous.
- Basic standard of IT skills and competent us of Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong interest in Mechanical principles and practice.
