What you'll be doing...
As our Communications & Media Relations Lead, you will be at the heart of our public relations and corporate communication efforts. Your role will include:
- Public Affairs & Lobbying: Support relationship development with political and public bodies to promote the UK timber industry, collaborating closely with WPIF and ConFor.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong connections with local councils, organise factory tours, and ensure aligned communication across EGGER sites.
- Media Relations: Handle media requests, coordinate press events, lead crisis communications, and monitor media coverage.
- ESG Communication: Create compelling ESG content, aligning with corporate guidelines and sustainability goals.
- Content Creation: Develop creative materials for video and social media, supporting EGGER’s brand and sustainability messaging.
- Internal Communication: Act as Editor for EGGERnet UK, support employer branding initiatives, and contribute to internal events.
- Event Support: Organise and support photo and video shoots, industry events, and PR campaigns.
- Proofreading & Special Projects: Ensure high-quality written materials and assist in key company projects.
What We Are Looking For...
We welcome applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds who can bring fresh perspectives to our team. Ideally, you will have:
- A degree/diploma in Business, Marketing, Communications, or Public Affairs.
- A background in PR, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Proven experience in media relations and content creation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence working with various digital platforms and social media channels.
- The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- An innovative mindset with a passion for storytelling and brand building.
