Fire Engineer Undergraduate Placement

Join our team to support the Fire Engineering Department, ensuring seamless operation of fire protection systems and adherence to fire safety standards. Your Tasks

 

  • Assist in the production, renewal and distribution of site specific fire safety documentation.
  • Assist in the planning, monitoring and reporting of fire and emergency drills and exercises.
  • Complete user checks and inspections of fire safety equipment and installations.
  • Provide support with the improvement and maintenance of fire protection systems.
  • Support external engineers with the service and maintenance of specialist fire protection systems.
  • Create and maintain reports, technical specifications, statistics and other written documents.
  • Perform all allocated tasks for the department in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Operate in an efficient and safe manner and also in compliance with any specified risk assessments or method statements.

 

Our Requirements

 

  • Must have successfully completed first two years of an accredited* electrical or mechanical engineering degree course.   (* Accredited by the Engineering Council.)
  • Competent use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must be well organised, efficient and have good communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are important.
