Your Tasks

 

  • Provide competent support, advice, and guidance on safety legislation and good practices to all levels of the business.
  • Oversee incident and near miss investigations, providing the necessary input to ensure that the true root cause is identified and appropriate preventative action(s) are put in place.
  • Plan and undertake safety process audits as per the established audit schedule
  • Undertake and contribute to H&S projects
  • Data evaluation and production of monthly and ad hoc reports.
  • Travel to and support other EGGER sites within the Group, including occasional overnight stays as required.
  • Write and review internal health and safety documentation.
  • Coach other members of the H&S team. 
  • To represent the department and give competent advise and solutions regarding all CDM projects / activities.
  • Plan, manage and interpret statutory compliance reports.
  • Deputise for the Hexham Health and Safety Manager.

 

Our Requirements

 

  • NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Demonstration of professional competence and development through providing evidence of continuing professional development.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and associated legislation and ACOPS.
  • ISO 45001 Lead Auditor.
  • Passionate about safety with the ability to communicate with all levels of the business.
  • Ability to positively influence others.
  • Intermediate standard of IT, including competent use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
