You will complete a 12 month placement (in conjunction with the academic year 2024/2025) within the Health and Safety Department, providing administrative and operational support both within the office and on-plant. Other tasks include:
Your Tasks
- Collect and input data to maintain health and safety records (electronic and paper) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Undertake projects and make improvement recommendations where appropriate.
- Produce adhoc reports as required.
- Assist with health and safety inspections and audits.
- Assist in planning health and safety training.
- Liaise effectively with internal and external parties as required.
- Develop knowledge and experience of health and safety.
Our Requirements
- Successfully completed two years at degree level in a health and safety or business discipline.
- Competent use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Good communicator with confidence in their ability to deal with all levels of personnel.
- Good administrative and organisational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Ability to work on projects from conception to implementation with limited supervision.
- Desire to increase knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace.
