Mechanical Fitter

Join EGGER UK as a Mechanical Fitter in Hexham. You'll train in all facets of our Maintenance Department, uphold safety and quality standards, support Mechanical Supervisors, and complete daily reports.

Starting salary £37,424 per annum

 

Your Tasks

 

  • Train in all aspects of the Maintenance Department and follow standard operating policies. 
  • Maintain high levels of quality, safety and environmental awareness within the department. 
  • Provide full support to the Mechanical Supervisors and assist where required on plant.
  • Complete Mechanical SAP reports detailing daily tasks performed.
  • Ensure all safety precautions as detailed in the Health and Safety procedures are taken and that safety equipment is in good order and used at all times.

 

Our Requirements

 

  • NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Reasonable standard of secondary education.
  • Health & Safety awareness.
  • Basic standard of IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Fork Lift Truck Licence preferred, however training can be provided.
