Your Tasks

You will train to work towards Commercial Procurement and Supply Practitioner level 4 (as recognised by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) with the Purchasing team to manage the supply base and deliver the service required to support a busy manufacturing operation.   This will include: 

  • Make enquiries for materials and services, negotiating prices, placing orders, checking Order Confirmations, analysing supplier performance and getting involved in projects.
  • Learn the Purchasing SAP system.
  • Work on general ‘apprenticeship’ projects and making short presentations on your progress.
  • Develop your general business knowledge and understanding. 

 

Our Requirements

  • Good standard of education with a minimum of 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English with at least C or Level 4 grades.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Good verbal and written skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Well organised, efficient, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Background or interest in Engineering/Technical processes is preferable.
