What you’ll be doing
You’ll play an active role in the day-to-day running of our busy site, learning how to:
- Support the team with a wide variety of administration tasks.
- Manage diaries, schedules, and timetables.
- Organise meetings, prepare documents, and take minutes.
- Handle supplier and customer queries with professionalism.
- Input figures, process quotations and invoices.
- Carry out telephone work, including customer satisfaction surveys.
- Gain hands-on experience with our SAP system by managing wagon arrivals and departures, handling telephone enquiries, arranging container exchanges, and coordinating third-party collections.
- Support purchasing, transport bookings, and general site admin.
- Work closely with our Administration team to keep everything running smoothly.
What we’re looking for
We want to hear from people who are keen to learn, organised, and great at working with others. You don’t need lots of experience – we’ll provide all the training you need – but you should bring:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including Maths and English.
- A positive, can-do attitude and strong communication skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Most importantly, you should be curious, motivated, and excited about starting a career in business administration.
