Health and Safety Manager

What you’ll do
- Be an ambassador for Timberpak bringing professionalism, energy, and enthusiasm every day.
- Engage with colleagues to build a strong safety culture and lead by example.
- Provide clear, practical advice on all aspects of health and safety management.
- Investigate incidents thoroughly, including serious cases and RIDDOR events, ensuring lessons are learned.
- Develop risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and work instructions.
- Support behavioural safety programmes and deliver engaging training sessions.
- Monitor accident trends, interpret data, and share insights to drive improvement.
- Liaise with statutory bodies (HSE, Fire & Rescue, Local Authorities) and support ISO 45001 certification.
- Travel to other Timberpak and EGGER sites as needed (with occasional overnight stays).
What we’re looking for
- NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent). Strong candidates with a NEBOSH National Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety will also be considered.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation.
- Excellent communication skills - you can influence and build trust at all levels.
- Ability to plan, prioritise, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative mindset and confidence to share ideas.
- Full UK driving licence as travel to the other Timberpak locations is a requirement.
- (Additional qualifications like Fire Safety or ISO auditing are a bonus, but not essential.)
