Responsibilities
- Supports Head of Accounting & Tax in all aspects of monthly, half year, and yearly financial closing and reporting process including recording, monitoring, and tracking transactions.
- Account reconciliation analysis.
- Liquidity Planning.
- Maintaining accurate and complete records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and information related to supplies and inventory.
- Creation of project budgets, maintenance, and reporting.
- Meetings with project managers to discuss status of ongoing projects.
- Asset Settlement of finalized projects, performing calculations, reconciliations, and communication to Tax for property tax records.
- Recording of Low Value Assets.
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Transfer pricing reconciliation between multiple affiliated entities.
- Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
- Perform a variety of related accounting tasks in SAP, Excel, and other systems.
- Working as part of a team, cross training so as to be backup support to all accounting functions.
- Perform other related basic accounting tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting, with a strong understanding and working knowledge of IFRS. Previous experience of working in a global company with group consolidation highly preferrable.
- Proven experience in tax, with a strong understanding of Sales and Use tax within an organization doing business in multiple states.
- Proficiency in SAP preferrable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Experience
- Accounting Principles: Practical experience in applying accounting principles, such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), to real-world financial scenarios.
- Financial Analysis: Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, including the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide insights for decision-making.
- Audit and Compliance: Experience in conducting audits, ensuring regulatory compliance, and familiarity with tax laws and reporting requirements.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Accounting or Finance or commiserate experience.
- Proficiency in multiple PC applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP and Vertex experience a plus.

Schedule Demands
- General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
- Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.
Physical Demands
- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
- Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
- Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
