BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting PLCs to control machinery and automate industrial processes.
  • Experience in installing, calibrating, and maintaining various sensors, transmitters, and control devices used in industrial automation. 
  • Knowledge of HMI systems and the ability to configure, troubleshoot, and maintain these interfaces for effective control and monitoring of industrial equipment. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, diagnose faults, and repair or replace components as needed. 
  • Proficiency in understanding and working with various systems, including PLCs,  DCS and SCADA systems. 
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and control system schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. 
  • Have training and certification from Siemens as an advantage.
  • Programming experience preferably PLC Siemens (Simatic S7-1500), HMI Siemens WinCC, VFD (variable frequency drives: Sinamics, SEW, Lenze). 

 

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proven experience as a Controls Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, industrial networking, and control devices.

SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

  • General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
  • Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
  • Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
  • Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
