Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.
- Coordination of the FP&A month end closing processes.
- Coordinating and preparing monthly management information packs for the local management as required.
- Preparation of monthly reporting information for submission to the Group FP&A department.
- Reconciliation of the actual to budget EBITDA performance on a plant level and investigate variances in detail.
- Analyzing the business performance on a profit center, material group, and customer level.
- Analyzing and investigating the actual vs budget spend variances on a cost center level.
- Coordinating, preparing and analyzing the quarterly rolling budgets in line with Group guidelines.
- Calculating and monitoring standard costs of production on a monthly basis.
- Assisting in investment appraisal calculations.
- Analyzing and investigating the actual vs budget spend variances on investment projects..
- Other duties as assigned.
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas).
- Valid driver’s license.
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
- Compensatory closely related work experience required in lieu of degree.
- Experience in budgeting & forecasting to develop financial plans.
- Accounting knowledge & understanding of principles.

SCHEDULE DEMANDS
- General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
- Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
- Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
- Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
