Head of Specification North America
Reporting to the VP, Commercial North America, as the Head of Specification NA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our brand in the architectural design and specification community. This is not just a job; it's an opportunity to make a significant impact on a national scale. You will be responsible for specifications generated in North America, which can be built and installed in the US, Canada and Mexico, allowing you to influence projects that span countries.
Your mission will be to create a strong awareness of the EGGER brand and its innovative products, positioning us as a leader in the industry. By engaging with architects and designers, you will drive sales through our distributor partners, ensuring that EGGER is the go-to choice for high-quality specifications.
In this dynamic role, you will take charge of developing the Specification Strategy and Business Development plan for North America, crafting a vision that aligns with our growth objectives. You will lead the North America EGGER Specification Team, inspiring and empowering them to achieve excellence and drive success.

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop a strong pipeline of projects which is subsequently managed through the supply chain to final installation and actual sales.
- Evolve the Specification Strategy for North America, involving the identification of opportunities in key sectors: multifamily, senior living, hospitality, retail, student accommodation, etc.
- Develop relationships with key architects, designers, specifiers, developers, general contractors and end users.
- Work with our Distribution and OEM partners to leverage their resources to maximize sales opportunities.
- Work with Product Management to develop the Specification team’s knowledge and ability to give sound technical and application advice, based on the customer’s requirements.
- Maximize project pipeline through lead/project generation tools/platforms.
- Review effectiveness of current activities, such as CEU’s and Lunch & Learns, and contribute to their evolution.
- Liaise with the Marketing department to identify opportunities to boost brand awareness as well as more tactical targets.
- Manage KPI’s and targets of the Specification team.
- Ensure that projects and relevant data is maintained in our CRM system.
- Carry out ongoing reviews and annual appraisals with Specification team.
- Represent North America in any international EGGER Specification meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Primary Goals

- Creating a specification strategy for EGGER North America.
- Developing and growing our local EGGER A&D Team.
- Communicate effectively with internal colleagues, including sales teams and Customer Service, on projects which could impact planning/forecasting, to ensure that stocks can be effectively managed.
- Attend and/or represent EGGER at trade shows, networking events or similar events.
- Increase and generate sales through your specification efforts and support our distribution partners.
- Number of new national projects and values to include project details per month in our CRM and Group Specification report.
- Follow up on linked orders and offers per month in the CRM Project accounts.
- Weekly review of existing projects with the latest status and notes.
- Increase our brand awareness across the A&D community.
- Create Case Studies and collect pictures of installed furniture and rooms made by our products/designs.

- Team Leading – Communication, leadership and drive the team and our specification work to success.
- CRM appointments – accurate appointment schedule including notes in our CRM.
- Follow up on the sample request via our Web-shop.
- Summary of your goals and achievements per week (Friday) and task for the following week.
- Focus on our Group Specification Report to show a professional and successful development.
- Frequent visit to A&D firms and our direct customers.
- Budgets and expenses.
- Following our travel guidelines.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated success in specification within the composite panel and decorative surface industry. Experience may be derived through a board manufacturer, distributor, OEM or another area of the supply chain.
- Established connections in the architectural and design community.
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience.
- Able to demonstrate the ability to develop and nurture existing and new relationships.
- Ability to gain the trust of customers and colleagues through competence and reliability.
- Passionate about their work, who is tenacious, and results orientated.
- Well organized with excellent attention to detail and have high ethical standards and values.
- Excellent presentation and written, verbal and listening communication skills.
- Computer savvy, including experience using CRM software (Salesforce), and MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- A valid US driver's license and US Passport.
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor’s degree and/or MBA preferred.
- Compensatory closely related work experience required in lieu of degree.

SCHEDULE DEMANDS
- General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment; however, employees must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
- Overnight travel by flying, driving, riding, boat, or rail.
- Domestic and International travel required up to 50%.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8 hours.
- Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Reading computer screens or other electronic devices.
