The Maintenance & Materials Planning Supervisor oversees the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities, ensuring the efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment within budget. This position is responsible for leading maintenance planning and storeroom operations to support plant reliability, equipment uptime, and overall production performance. The role combines administrative planning with hands-on leadership and collaboration across maintenance, stores, reliability, and production teams.

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance planners and storeroom personnel to ensure safe and effective execution of maintenance work.
- Create budget plans for maintenance tasks and projects.
- Develop, plan, and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities in alignment with production priorities.
- Oversee spare parts inventory levels, procurement, and usage to support planned and unplanned maintenance work.
- Oversee SAP CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) data accuracy, including work orders, parts transactions, and maintenance histories.
- Collaborate with maintenance, reliability, and operations teams to identify work priorities and optimize resource allocation.
- Support and track preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs such as schedule compliance, backlog, and work order completion rates.
- Maintain organized documentation of maintenance procedures, equipment files, and vendor records.
- Provide training, guidance, and feedback to direct reports to build planning and materials management capabilities.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement efforts to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
- Ensure all maintenance and materials operations are performed safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE
- Proficiency with SAP (PM & MM modules), CMMS systems and maintenance planning tools, and AutoCAD.
- Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs to include Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of equipment maintenance processes and spare parts management.
- Effective leadership, communication, problem-solving skills, and fostering a positive team work environment.
- Ability to balance planning responsibilities with hands-on support and floor presence.
- Valid Driver’s License.
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- Compensatory closely related work experience required in lieu of degree & 4+ years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or materials management in a manufacturing environment, including 1+ year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Certifications related to manufacturing technologies e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing (preferred).

SCHEDULE DEMANDS
- General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
- Occasional off-shift or weekend work during shutdowns or major maintenance activities.
- Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Based in a manufacturing environment with time split between office and production floor.
- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
- Occasional Lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
- Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
