Product Management Manager
The Product Manager is responsible for leading assigned product categories, product lifecycle activities, commercialization initiatives, and portfolio management efforts within EGGER North America. This role leads cross-functional coordination related to product strategy execution, product launches, market alignment, operational integration, and continuous improvement to ensure products remain competitive, manufacturable, profitable, and aligned with customer expectations and business objectives.
The incumbent partners closely with Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Product Management leadership to support product portfolio growth, commercialization effectiveness, product optimization, and customer engagement initiatives. This role serves as a functional leadership position within the Product Management & Design organization and contributes to broader product strategy, portfolio performance, and innovation initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
JOB FUNCTIONS: (Job functions include but are not limited to the following)
- Lead assigned product portfolio segments, product lifecycle activities, and commercialization initiatives.
- Manage product launches, product updates, product optimization efforts, and portfolio performance activities.
- Lead cross-functional coordination involving Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, competitive positioning, and product performance data to support strategic decision-making.
- Support development and execution of product roadmap initiatives aligned with customer needs and business objectives.
- Oversee product positioning, launch readiness activities, customer-facing product information, and commercialization support.
- Collaborate with operational and technical teams to ensure products are manufacturable, scalable, cost-effective, and operationally sustainable.
- Support product design alignment with market expectations, operational capabilities, and brand standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and portfolio performance.
- Support customer engagement initiatives, technical product support, and strategic account activities as needed.
- Manage team priorities, project timelines, and resource coordination for assigned product initiatives.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and leadership support to junior team members or project teams as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
SCHEDULE DEMANDS
- Office Standard: 8-hour M-F assignment; however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
- Business travel required; includes flying, driving, riding or by rail.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8 hours.
- Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Working in office and manufacturing plant environments.
- Reading computer screens or other electronic devices.
- Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
- Occasional exposure to manufacturing equipment, noise, dust, heat, and industrial environments while utilizing required PPE.
QUALIFICATIONS
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE
- Typically, 10-15 years of related experience with significant leadership responsibility.
- Prior management or functional leadership experience required.
- Experience leading cross-functional business initiatives required.
- Experience within product management, product development, commercialization, manufacturing, marketing, or related commercial functions required.
- Experience within wood products, building materials, surface materials, décor, manufacturing, or industrial products preferred.
- Experience supporting product portfolio management, commercialization strategy, and operational integration initiatives preferred.
- Prior sales experience, in a relatable industry, preferred.
SKILLS, EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS
- Four-year degree preferred or compensatory closely related work experience required.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, commercialization, product strategy, and portfolio management principles.
- Strong business, operational, and commercial acumen.
- Understanding of manufacturing operations, customer requirements, and market positioning.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capability.
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in manufacturing and commercial environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capability.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and product-related systems or tools.
- Understanding of product economics, commercialization processes, and operational constraints preferred.
