Production Reliability Engineer

The Production Reliability Engineer works on moderately complex, multi-factor reliability problems and exercises independent judgment within established reliability frameworks. This position is responsible for reliability performance of multiple units of production equipment or production systems with a high-impact to business processes. The ideal candidate independently improves equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness with measurable results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.

  • Independently analyze reliability data and identify failure trends and risks
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring equipment failures
  • Coordinate and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
  • Conduct equipment critical equipment assessments and risk prioritization
  • Collaborate with internal partners to improve spare parts strategies and maintenance plans to reduce downtime
  • Support capital projects by providing reliability input on equipment design and selection
  • Collaborate with management to plan cleaning tasks and schedules
  • Mentor process operators as needed

SCHEDULE DEMANDS

  • General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
  • On-call requirements as needed.
  • Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.
  • Able to travel internationally as needed for training and development.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8+ hours.
  • Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
  • Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE

  • 3–6 years of relevant experience (or equivalent demonstrated capability).
  • High technical knowledge as it relates to troubleshooting and efficiencies of equipment.

 

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Driver's License
  • US Passport

 

SKILLS

  • Strong understanding of reliability engineering methodologies.
  • Proficient in data analysis, RCA, FMEA, and maintenance optimization.
  • Working knowledge of condition monitoring and PdM technologies.
  • Effective cross-functional communication skills.
