Maintenance Electrician 1

The Electrician will be responsible for maintenance and trouble shooting electrical wiring, electronic installation, testing and alteration.

Responsibilities

• Inspect on a routine basis electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures and other components to ensure they remain functional and are up to code, as well as to identify any hazards or issues. 

• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

• Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment and other components so that they remains at full functioning capacity.

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand and power tools.

• Work from ladders, scaffolds and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures.

• Operate as a member of Electrical project team.

• Contribute an acceptable level of housekeeping in the department

• Ensure that the operation and related tasks are conducted in a safe working manner and that any incidents/ accidents and hazards are duly reported.

• Implement and maintain all safety precautions as detailed in the Health and Safety procedures are taken and that safety equipment is in good order and used at all times.

Qualifications

• The ability to read and implement European schematics.

• The ideal candidate would have 3 years of experience working in an industrial environment.

• Proven mechanical aptitude

• Competent use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
