Marketing Communications Manager

The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for leading, developing and managing all corporate marketing and internal communications, social media, public and media relations, and marketing copy writing for the company, ensuring all messages are consistent and align with brand standards. This position will support all marketing initiatives including integrated marketing campaigns across all elements of the marketing mix, leveraging a variety of channels.

 

Responsibilities

  • Be a role model for health and safety
  • Develop and execute marketing communication plans to drive customer awareness, consideration and purchase for the company’s products and decors, in a B2B environment.
  • Plan and execute an integrated marketing communications strategy for the company,  incorporating PR and social media.
  • Assist in the development and execution of the company’s employer branding communications plan to ensure employees and internal stakeholders are kept informed and motivated.
  • Leverage available channels including intranet, email, social media, and company newsletters.  
  • Develop relationships with key media outlets to secure and grow media coverage in trade and local media.
  • Coordinate marketing activities with our distribution partners, including writing press releases for local and national trade media.
  • Adapt EGGER Group press releases for international syndication, ensuring the information and messages translate to the North American Market.
  • Monitor media coverage relating to the company and its brand, and maximizing opportunities for positive PR.
  • Collate and analyzing current communications and messages to ensure consistency.
  • Work closely with the Corporate and Category Marketing Departments in Austria, and the North American Sales Department to devise an effective marketing strategy.
  • Manage the crisis communication response plan and provide leadership and guidance when navigating competitive, plant and public relations crises.   
  • Working closely with other heads of departments and external agencies to successfully execute all marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Ensure brand guidelines are adhered to in all marketing activities across the company.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field.
  • Minimum six (6) years of marketing communications experience
  • Previous experience as a communications manager for a like organization would be a plus.
  • Proven record of having developed and launched an effective, omni-channel communication strategy.
  • Public and media relations experience with PR agency.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skills are essential.
  • A proven ability to lead/execute communications strategies in organizations. 
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, both international and domestic, up to 20%.
