Undergo apprenticeship training and develop competences in the subject matter. To accept personal responsibility for attending external training and in completing course work in expected timeframe. Train in all aspects of the Mechanical/Electrical or Production Department and to follow standard working policies. Maintain high levels of quality, safety, and environmental awareness within the department.

Responsibilities

Undertake a comprehensive training program to be able to complete all tasks required of a member of the mechanical/electrical/operator team.

Learn and complete mechanical/electrical/operator SAP reports detailing daily tasks performed.

Develop and maintain a working knowledge of PLCs.

Learn and understand EGGER company processes and to work on general ‘apprenticeship’ projects and make short presentations on progress.

Attend training courses and meetings as necessary.

Ensure course work is kept up to date and on schedule for deadlines.

Operate as a member of a team in the department helping to achieve optimum plant utilization and efficiency.

Ensure that the operation and related tasks are conducted in a safe working manner and that any incidents/accidents and hazards are duly reported.

Ensure all safety precautions, as detailed in the Health and Safety procedures, are taken and that safety equipment is in good order and used at all times.

Liaise with the shift mechanical fitter/electrician/mechanical supervisor/electrical supervisor to repair and maintain all electrical equipment to the highest standard.

Keep work areas and department clean.
