Mechanical Supervisor
City: Lexington Contract Type: Full-time Job-Code: 2539 Department: Maintenance
Responsibilities
- Align with and understand the needs of the business and communicates goals within the maintenance organization.
- Create and implement strategic directions for reliability and maintenance of plant and developing and implementing PMs.
- Technical and disciplinary management of reliability and maintenance personnel.
- Maintain Maintenance KPIs in Weekly Operation review meetings.
- Facilitate and Attend reliability meetings.
- Manage outside contractors’ contracts.
- Create, implement and monitor work processes to achieve business objectives in terms of Operating Asset Utilization.
- Create, implement and monitor work processes to achieve compliance to OSHA regulations, and corporate standards.
- Create, implement and monitor KPIs to identify continuous improvement needs and performance management issues.
- Manage the reliability and maintenance system.
- Ensure that the inventory in Stores is adequate and optimum to meet business needs.
- Maintain Critical Spare parts list and designated inventory.
- Conduct performance evaluations for maintenance and reliability personnel.
- Actively support employee and career development at maintenance and reliability personnel.
- Determine the need for outside resources.
- Provide out-of-hours support as needed.
- (5%) Travel to Global Headquarters in St. Johann, Austria

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related AND eight (8) years as Technical Project Manager, Operations Manager or related; or
- Ten (10) years as Technical Project Manager, Operations Manager or related.
- Applicant must have the following experience:
- (8 years) supervisory experience in wood processing facility or TFL (short cycle presses)
- (5 years) maintenance / reliability in an industrial environment
- Technical and disciplinary management of a team within a wood products industrial plant
- Supervising reliability and maintenance personnel
- Implementing maintenance best practices and operations excellence
- Planning technical installation work
- Mechanical maintenance requirements in wood products sector
- Optimizing mechanical maintenance systems and processes to meet budgets and efficiency
- Training and development of mechanical specialists on the specialized equipment and machinery
- Energy generating plant for wood products sector
- Coordination and management of external contractors for installation, maintenance, repair and servicing of wood products manufacturing plant
